Former Miami Heat Forward Mike Miller is a free agent.
Miller was released by Miami using the amnesty clause in the last collective bargaining agreement. Miami still owes Miller 12 million dollars. But, it will not count against Miami salary cap.
Any NBA team was able to pick Miller up through waivers. Rumors about the Cavs interest in Miller peeked in the last 24 hours.
NewsChannel 5 learned just after the 5pm deadline the Cavs did not place a blind bid to get the rights to Miller.
Reports say Miller is a free agent and will be free to sign with any team he chooses. He also needs back surgery before he returns to the floor.
