CLEVELAND - The Cavaliers have recalled forward Jon Leuer from Canton and excused forward Luke Walton to "address a personal matter."
Leuer played in five games for the Cavs before he was assigned to the Charge, an NBA Development League team. He averaged 19.5 points and 12.3 rebounds in eight games for Canton. Leuer will be in uniform when Cleveland plays Chicago Monday.
Walton is averaging 2.4 points and 2.4 rebounds in 13 minutes this season.
Cavs center Anderson Varejao will miss his 10th straight game Monday with a bruised right knee. The Cavs expect Varejao to return to practice Tuesday and it's possible he'll play in Wednesday's home game against Atlanta. Varejao was leading the NBA with 14.4 rebounds per game before getting hurt.
Tristan Thompson has thrived in Varejao's absence, averaging 13.2 points and 12.9 rebounds.
