CLEVELAND - The NBA announced the reserves for the 2012 All-Star Game in Orlando on Thursday. The Cavaliers will not be represented for the second year in a row.
Rookie point guard Kyrie Irving and forward Anderson Varejao were hoping to make their first appearance in the game for the eastern conference.
Irving is leading the Cavaliers in scoring at 18 points a game. Varejao is averaging career bests in points at eleven and rebounds at 11.7 per game.
The eastern conference all-star reserves are Luol Deng of the Chicago Bulls, Roy Hibbert of the Indiana Pacers, Paul Pierce of the Boston Celtics, Andre Iguodala of the Philadelphia 76ers, Joe Johnson of the Atlanta Hawks, Deron Williams of the New Jersey Nets and Chris Bosh of the Miami Heat.
