CLEVELAND - The slumping Cavaliers recalled forward Jon Leuer from their Canton affiliate in the NBA Development League.
Leuer has appeared in six games (all starts) for the Charge this season. He averaged 20.3 points and 12.3 rebounds in 35.8 minutes as the Charge went 5-1 in those games. Leuer played in five games this season for Cleveland, averaging 3.2 points and 2.0 rebounds in 14.4 minutes.
Leuer will be available Friday night when the Cavs, who have lost five straight, host Indiana.
Cleveland is 5-22 and has had several key players miss times with injuries.
Center Anderson Varejao, the NBA's leading rebounder, sat out Wednesday night's game in Boston with a bruised right knee. It's not yet known if Varejao will play against the Pacers.
