CLEVELAND - Coming off a season where he set an Indians franchise record with three pinch home runs and two dramatic walk off home runs, 42-year old Jason Giambi will be back in the Cleveland Indians organization in 2014.
The Indians signed Giambi to a minor league contract on Thursday. The deal includes a non-roster invite to major league spring training camp in February.
Giambi hit .183 with nine home runs and 31 rbi's with the Indians in a part time designated hitter, pinch hitting role in 2012.
Giambi is the oldest player in Major League History to hit a walkoff home run. Giambi did it twice last season, both times to win games against the Chicago White Sox.
