BALTIMORE - The Cleveland Indians have placed third baseman Lonnie Chisenhall on the 15-day disabled list with a broken bone in his right forearm.
The injury occurred Friday night when Baltimore Orioles left-hander Troy Patton hit Chisenhall with a fastball. Chisenhall fractured his right ulna, an injury that will sideline him for four to six weeks.
Chisenhall is batting .278 with three homers and nine RBIs in 24 games. He was drafted 29th overall in the 2008 draft.
To fill his spot on the roster, the Indians recalled infielder Jason Donald from Triple-A Columbus. Donald opened the season on Cleveland's roster before being optioned to Columbus on May 12.
He appeared in 16 games with the Indians, going 8 for 45 (.178). He played shortstop, second base, third and left field.
