OAKLAND - Indians closer Chris Perez has called out Cleveland fans for not supporting the team. Now he’s getting into it with the opposition.
Video surfaced on YouTube Monday of the All-Star closer confronting an A’s fan in Oakland.
The incident begins with the A’s fan heckling Perez during warm-ups, calling him over to the stands.
He greets Perez and another Indians teammate with “f*** you and f*** you.”
Perez and the fan then go back and forth, trading profanities and calling each other names over topics such as blown saves and the Indians’ record. Perez gets the last word though, telling the fan “Get your d*** out of your mouth” as he walks away.

Making waves in the media is becoming a pastime for Perez.
In May, Perez lashed out against fans for booing him and said they were a reason free agents choose other destinations over Cleveland.
He took fans to task again in June in a New York Times interview, criticizing them for “blindly supporting” the Browns and rooting against LeBron James.
Perez is 0-4 with a 3.63 ERA, 32 saves and four blown saves this season.
