Indians announce Cactus League opener

CLEVELAND - The Cleveland Indians announced their 2013 spring training schedule on Thursday.

The Tribe will open up cactus league play at Goodyear ballpark on February 22, 2013 against the National League Central Division champion Cincinnati Reds. The Indians and Reds both train in Goodyear, Arizona.

Pitchers and catchers are tentatively scheduled to begin spring training practices on February 10, 2013. The first full squad workout is tentatively scheduled for February 15, 2013.

The Indians begin the 2013 regular season on Tuesday April 2, 2013 in Toronto against the Blue Jays.
