HAMILTON, Ohio - A woman's body has been found floating in the Great Miami River in southwest Ohio.
Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones reports the body was found Monday afternoon just south of a low level dam in Hamilton. People walking along a bike path that runs alongside the river noticed the body shortly before 4 p.m.
Jones says a 57-year-old woman's body was pulled from the river. The sheriff says there were no obvious signs of physical trauma, but the coroner's office didn't immediately determine the cause of death.
The victim's name was being withheld until her family could be notified.
Jones says his office is investigating what happened.
