TOLEDO, Ohio - A northwest Ohio woman who police say threw her 6-month-old son has been charged with murder after the baby died from his injuries.
Charges against 25-year-old Amanda Bacon were upgraded to murder Wednesday after the death of her son Avery Glynn Bacon at a hospital. Police accuse the Toledo woman of throwing the baby against a hard surface, causing multiple skull fractures and brain damage.
Police say it's not clear when the abuse occurred. The boy was taken to a hospital early Monday.
Bacon was arraigned Wednesday and a $1 million bond set. Records did not indicate whether she had an attorney.
