BATAVIA, Ohio - Police in southwest Ohio say a runaway 14-year-old girl led to an undercover sting that so far has resulted in charges against 15 men who were allegedly seeking sex.
Clermont County Prosecutor Don White says it's the biggest such case he's seen in 24 years in office. Authorities say more men could be charged with such counts as importuning and unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.
The case began when the search for the runaway girl led police to the Fairfield area north of Cincinnati. The Cincinnati Enquirer reports the girl was found and is now in counseling.
She had been using social media to connect with men. An officer pretended to be her online and arranged meetings with men allegedly wanting sex with a teen girl.
