WAYNESVILLE, Ohio - Authorities in southwest Ohio are investigating how part of a dismembered pony ended up in a roadside ditch near a state park.
The Dayton Daily News reports that a family discovered the torso of the dismembered animal tied up in a tarp near Caesar Creek State Park, southeast of Dayton, last weekend.
The Clinton County Sheriff's Office said leads in the case have dwindled and investigators don't know where the animal's torso came from or where the rest might be.
It is illegal to dump animal carcasses along the road.
