COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ohio State University students are among the more than two dozen people displaced by a fire at a campus-area building used as apartments.
Columbus firefighters say the residents escaped and no injuries were reported after the fire early Monday morning.
Investigators say the blaze apparently began in the back of the home and was accidental, but the exact cause remains under investigation. The damage was estimated at $200,000.
The Columbus Dispatch reports residents have started to pull their clothes, electronics and other belongings out of the building.
Morgan Greenetz said she fled her apartment after someone knocked on the door. The 20-year-old told the newspaper she had renter's insurance, as she surveyed her soaked home.
