FRANKLIN, Ohio - The Ohio State Highway Patrol says a trooper in training is in critical condition after he was hit by a car that lost control on a snowy interstate highway in southern Ohio.
The patrol said Thursday the trooper, 26-year-old Brent Hill, is in a Dayton hospital following the accident late Wednesday on Interstate 75 in Warren County, between Dayton and Cincinnati.
The patrol said Hill was investigating a one-car accident on northbound Interstate 75 just after 11 p.m. when he was hit by a second car that had lost control on the slippery road. The car sideswiped the patrol car, then struck Hill and the first car.
There were no other injuries and no charges have been filed yet.
