CINCINNATI - A construction management official says structural connections in unrestricted areas at the Cincinnati casino where a collapse injured more than a dozen workers have been checked thoroughly.

The president of casino construction manager Messer Construction Co. told state casino regulators in Columbus on Wednesday that no bolts were missing from any connections in unrestricted areas. The president didn't speak about the collapsed section, which remains off-limits to workers.

Workers returned to the site five days after a floor collapsed as concrete was being poured. The investigation continues into what caused the collapse.

The injuries from Friday's accident were mostly minor. A hospital spokesman says the one worker still hospitalized remains in serious condition.

The collapse occurred weeks after a similar Cleveland casino accident with the same developers, who say the cases aren't linked.
