OXFORD, Ohio - An Ohio college says it will discipline two male students responsible for putting an offensive flier about rape in a coed dorm bathroom.
Miami University in southwest Ohio didn't release any information on the students, citing federal student privacy restrictions. The school's student code calls for potential penalties of removal from residence halls, mandatory educational programs, and suspension. A police report has also been filed.
The flier was titled "The Top 10 Ways to Get Away with Rape." The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that a student organization that works to prevent sexual assaults criticized university officials for not notifying students on campus.
The university says the flier didn't merit a campuswide alert because it didn't pose an immediate threat. It held mandatory sexual assault counseling at the residence hall.
