TOLEDO, Ohio - A jury has determined that two men are guilty of killing a toddler and injuring another one during a shooting last fall in northwest Ohio.
The (Toledo) Blade reports ( http://bit.ly/1bcAJYU ) that 21-year-old Keshawn Jennings and 19-year-old Antwaine Jones were convicted Friday of aggravated murder and felonious assault among other charges.
Prosecutors during the trial contended the men were part of a gang. The state's attorneys said the pair fired into a Moody Manor apartment in Toledo, Ohio, last August after they mistakenly believed a rival gang member was inside. The bullets instead killed a 1-year-old girl and injured her sister.
Surveillance video presented as evidence during the trial showed the pair and another defendant going in and out of an apartment building within the complex just before the shooting.
