LOGAN, Ohio - Jurors have begun deliberations in a trial over the murder of a southeast Ohio woman found in a septic tank.
Court officials say jurors began deliberating shortly after 3:30 p.m. Monday in the trial of William Inman II. He has pleaded not guilty to aggravated murder and other charges in the slaying of his 25-year-old estranged wife, Summer.
A prosecutor told jurors in Logan that the prosecution proved Inman was the principal offender or an accomplice who aided in the killing. Authorities say she was abducted, strangled and dumped in an underground septic tank behind an Athens County church last year.
Inman's attorney said the state did not prove that Inman strangled her.
Inman's parents also are charged and have pleaded not guilty. They'll be tried later.
