TOLEDO, Ohio - Toledo fire officials have identified the victims of a Saturday house fire on the city's east side as an elderly husband and wife.
Firefighters discovered 78-year-old Helen Rogowski and 84-year-old Joe Rogowski dead inside their home on Fassett Street while fighting a fire reported around 1:15 p.m. Saturday.
Fire Lt. Matthew Hertzfeld told The Blade of Toledo that the blaze was "well-advanced" when crews arrived. Further information on what may have caused the fire was not immediately available.
