CINCINNATI - The Cincinnati Zoo's 11-year-old cheetah has set a new world speed record.
Sarah earned the title of world's fastest land mammal back in 2009 when she ran 100 meters in 6.13 seconds. This year, Sarah shattered that time, covering 100 meters in 5.95 seconds.
Her top speed during the run was clocked at 61 mph.
The cheetah's time is almost four seconds faster than the world's fastest man, Usain Bolt, of Jamaica, who ran the same distance in 9.58 seconds.
