ORIENT, Ohio - Authorities say an Ohio man convicted of sex crimes against children has committed suicide at the state prison reception center.
The Dayton Daily News reports that William Rose died at the reception center outside Columbus on Tuesday, but there were no details provided about how it happened.
The 44-year-old Rose was on his way to prison to serve a 27-year sentence for sex crimes against three children. He was sentenced Friday in Shelby County, north of Dayton.
He was initially arrested May 29 and accused of videotaping a sexual encounter with a 12-year-old girl.
