COLUMBUS, Ohio - New figures show that casino wagering in Ohio has declined for the third straight month.

The Ohio Casino Control Commission reported Tuesday that combined wagers in September at casinos in Cleveland and Toledo were $331.8 million, down 5 percent from August's $349.6 million.

Wagers dropped 9 percent in September at the Toledo casino to $152.9 million and dipped 1.5 percent in Cleveland to $178.7 million.

A third Ohio casino opened Monday in Columbus and a fourth casino approved by voters will open next year in Cincinnati.

During the first full month of operation in June the casinos in Cleveland and Toledo had brought in nearly $418 million.
