Body of missing boy found in pond near Ohio home

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio - A southwest Ohio sheriff's office says a 4-year-old boy who was reported missing was found dead in a pond at a sport fishing club near his home.
Warren County authorities say Jonah Smith's body was found Monday afternoon, less than two hours after his father had reported his disappearance in Franklin Township, near Middletown.
Neighbors told The Middletown Journal ( http://bit.ly/PSIkkg ) that the fenced-in pond was a former gravel pit. It wasn't clear how the boy got to the pond.
The sheriff's office said an autopsy was planned to help determine what happened.
The newspaper said the boy's father and grandmother were home when he went missing.
