COLUMBUS, Ohio - Police say a body found on a highway led officers to close several miles of a major interstate artery in Ohio's capital city during the morning commute.
Columbus police blocked northbound Interstate 71 north of downtown after a traveler reported the body early Wednesday morning.
According to WBNS-TV, police said multiple drivers reported they thought they might have hit the body.
No further details about the person or the cause of death were immediately released.
A dispatcher told The Columbus Dispatch that officers were investigating whether the person had died before being hit by a vehicle.
