CLEVELAND - Attorneys for some of the defendants charged in beard-cutting attacks on fellow Amish in Ohio say additional allegations won't change the way they fight the charges.
An updated indictment added four defendants and included new allegations that suspects tried to hide or destroy evidence including a bag of hair from the victims.
The indictment filed in federal court in Cleveland Wednesday also charges alleged ringleader Sam Mullet Sr. with lying to federal agents during their investigation by denying knowledge of an October assault.
Akron attorney Dean Carro said Thursday he'll proceed as planned in defending Lester Miller, one of Mullet's nephews.
Youngstown attorney Neil Atway, representing defendant Levi Miller, says his client still plans to plead not guilty.
