BELLEFONTAINE, Ohio - A 15-year-old western Ohio boy missing since Thursday has been found dead from an apparent hit-and run incident.

The Logan County Sheriff's Office said Austin Houser's body was found in a roadside ditch Saturday night north of Rushsylvania. Deputies believe he was struck by a vehicle that then fled. Authorities said they had recovered the vehicle they suspect was involved and were working with the prosecutor's office on the investigation.

The Columbus Dispatch reports a school bus driver said he dropped off the boy at his house after school on Thursday.

Rushsylvania is about 50 miles northwest of Columbus.
