COLUMBUS, Ohio - Columbus police say two suspects were killed in an early morning shootout with officers.
Police said it happened north of downtown just after 5 a.m. Wednesday as officers were in pursuit of two people reported to be suspects in a slaying last month.
Police said the suspects -- a man and a woman -- fired at officers during the pursuit and then engaged in a gunfight with them after stopping. Two officers hit by flying glass were treated at a hospital and released.
Two weapons were found in the SUV occupied by the suspects, who have not been identified by police. A part of High Street remained closed as officers collected shell casings and other evidence.
