CINCINNATI - Ohio authorities say two teenage boys accused of trying to take an 8-year-old boy from a school playground have been arrested on kidnapping charges.
A Hamilton County sheriff's office report says two 16-year-old teens walked by an elementary school playground in Anderson Township near Cincinnati on Monday where the boy was playing ball with friends. The report says the teens returned in a car and one got out, offering candy to the children.
Witnesses report the teen grabbed the 8-year-old and began carrying him toward the car. The report says the child's friends chased the teen and he dropped the boy before driving away with the other suspect. No injuries were reported.
The teens were in the county's juvenile detention facility Wednesday. It's unclear if they have attorneys yet.
