CLEVELAND - WEWS NewsChannel5 aired a live special for the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11 Friday night with reporters located in New York City, Washington, D.C. and Shanksville, Pa.
The special, titled “Remembering 9/11,” ran from 8 to 9 p.m. on NewsChannel5, and – for the first time – via a live stream on the newsnet5.com mobile apps. A replay of the 9/11 special also streamed on the mobile feed Monday at 10 a.m.
NewsChannel5 anchor Danita Harris was at Ground Zero in New York, anchor Lee Jordan was at the Flight-93 crash site in Shanksville, Pa. and anchor Leon Bibb was at the Pentagon memorial in Washington, D.C.

The streaming of the special on mobile devices marks the launch of a new live video feature being offered for free from NewsChannel5. Users can access the feed by opening up the newsnet5 app, which is available for free in the iTunes and Android markets , and click on the “live video” link near the top of the homepage. If your phone does not support these apps, simply point your phone’s Web browser to http://mobile.newsnet5.com , where the video link will also be located at the top of the home page. The feed can be accessed anywhere your phone has an Internet connection -- regardless of your location.
Also starting on Monday, NewsChannel5 at noon will be available via the mobile live stream.
