CLEVELAND - If you’re an iPhone 5 user, there’s an important update you’ll want to install Thursday morning that fixes a bug that you probably noticed.
iOS 6.0.2 was released overnight by Apple and is expected to fix an issue with Wi-Fi on iPhone 5 devices and iPad mini.
The installation screen only says “fixes a bug that could impact Wi-Fi.” No other details about the release were released.
iPhone 5 users have been sounding off about Wi-Fi connection issues since the phone’s release in September. Users complained their Wi-Fi connection would intermittently drop out and streaming content would have issues buffering.
To get the update, simply go to SETTINGS, GENERAL and then touch the SOFTWARE UPDATE option.
Did you have a problem with Wi-Fi on your iPhone 5? If so, did this update fix it for you? Chime in via the comment box below.
