OXFORD, Ohio - Paul Ryan is set to visit his Miami University alma mater for the first time as Mitt Romney's running mate.

The website of the Republican presidential candidate says Ryan will speak at a 5:30 p.m. Wednesday event on the Oxford campus.

The 42-year-old congressman from Wisconsin graduated from Miami in 1992. He was the school's commencement speaker in 2009. Romney named him his running mate Saturday.

Romney's bus tour planned three stops in the critical swing state of Ohio on Tuesday.
