CLEVELAND - Polls closed at 7:30 p.m. and absentee votes began coming into the NewsChannel5 newsroom just after 8 p.m. With all precincts reporting, it looks like unofficial results show the Brecksville-Broadview Hts. City Schools levy passed, as did Jefferson Local's renewal levy and Rootstown's 5.96-mill additional levy. But voters turned down levy requests in the school districts of Cuyahoga Hts., Strongsville, Riverside and North Ridgeville, Field, Nordonia Hills, Stow-Munroe Falls and Wadsworth.
In Seven Hills, the trash collection issue was turned down, but voters approved the replacement and increase levy for fire and EMS. The parks and recreation charter amendment in Independence was voted down.
It may take until Wednesday for the final unofficial results to come in for the Black River Local School District levy, due to multiple counties reporting, along with Ashland City School's levy.
