CLEVELAND - Following a campaign rally at Cuyahoga Community College Thursday afternoon, President Barack Obama made an unscheduled visit to The Boys and Girls Club of Cleveland on Broadway Avenue.

President Obama slipped in unannounced through a gym door.

"It was a complete surprise. We knew he has passion for the kids and for him to take the time out and to see our kids was amazing,"  said Lauren Ruddy, Communications and Special Events Coordinator for the Boys and Girls Club of Cleveland.

President Obama chatted it up with the children, posed for several pictures and even played basketball with some of the kids.

"I don't think anyone actually could believe it. We were outside and he came around the corner and it as just roaring of applause and excitement.  He took the opportunity and shook every single person's hand and talked with everybody.  It was amazing," said Ruddy.
