New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie takes Tampa, Republican National Convention by storm

While the storm that is Isaac moved away from the Tampa area, another storm of sorts took place inside the arena holding the Republican National Convention Monday afternoon.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, was followed by a throng of conventioneers and media as he did a TV interview walking through the Tampa Bay Times Forum.

Christie, whose name was bandied about by pundits as a presidential and vice-presidential candidate for 2012, walked across the stage and down the red-carpeted steps into the delegate seating area while being interviewed by MSNBC host Joe Scarborough.

At every stop, the two were enveloped by a crowd of reporters, photographers and even hosts of other networks' talk shows.

Christie will be Tuesday's keynote speaker at the convention.
