CLEVELAND - Betty Sutton is in the political fight of her life.  The three-term democrat  currently serves in the U.S. House of Representatives representing Ohio's 13th District. Very early numbers show that she has a very slight lead.

But last year, the congressional districts were redrawn and two seats were eliminated.

It leaves two incumbents now battling for one seat in the 16th Congressional District. Sutton is up against Republican Jim Renacci.

Sutton arrived at the Sheet Metal Workers Local 33 around 8:30 Tuesday evening. Sutton said she is optimistic.

Sutton was born and raised in Barberton and is the youngest of six children. Her mother worked at the local library, her father was a boilermaker. Sutton said she's never forgotten her blue collar roots.

"Here I am, just a generation later, this daughter, this proud daughter of a boilermaker in the House of Representatives with a chance to fight for families just like mine."

This race is one of the most closely watched races in the country. It is also one of the most expensive House of Representative races in the country.I will be stationed at the Sutton camp election night. My colleague NewsChannel5's Paul Kiska will be covering Renacci in Wadsworth.
