CLEVELAND - Chris Dorton of Freedom Academy in Cleveland did a pretty good job for the pressure he was under in fourth grade.
Dorton had the daunting task of explaining Christopher Columbus in front of a room full of classmates and for the production staff of WEWS -- and doing it in less than 25 seconds.
The public affairs department at WEWS would go to schools around the viewing area to put students on Classroom Camera.
This edition of Classroom Camera aired in the beginning days of 1983.
If you know Chris Dorton, who would be somewhere near 40 years old today, let him know his Classroom Camera appearance lives on.
