BOSTON - A sticker on the car of soldier's girlfriend that read "Half my heart is in Afghanistan" led an anonymous veteran to leave this heartwarming note and money for the couple.
Samantha Ford posted a photo of the note and $20 bills to her Facebook album Our Deployment 101, along with how it made her feel.
“There are no words to describe how I'm feeling right now. Tears in my eyes. I just wish I could thank whoever did this! God bless our troops and all of those who stand behind them.”
Ford said she came out of a Dunkin Donuts in Boston and found the anonymous letter and dinner money.
The woman’s Facebook post has more than 1.6 million “likes,” 217,000-plus shares and thousands of kind comments.
According to reports, Ford’s boyfriend is a soldier in the U.S. Army. His base is in Fort Stewart, Ga.
