CLEVELAND - A man named Nathan Pryor really enjoys making things with wood, fabric, metal and electrons. So much so he turned one of his "crazy ideas" into a YouTube sensation.
The Vancouver, Wash. resident has been teaching himself electronics lately. And he seems to be doing a fine job. A habit of his is writing down all "the crazy, fleeting ideas I have, then go back to review later."
Looking back at an idea book, Nathan came across "Make Tetris Pumpkins."
And that's how Pumpktris came alive, a fully playable version of Tetris built into a pumpkin, with 128 LEDs for the display and the stem serving as a game controller.
On his blog, Nathan said, "I strongly believe that not knowing how to do something isn’t an excuse to not do it, it’s a reason to learn. Treat that condition as the beginning of a journey, not as a dead end."
You can see how it's all done below.
