SAN FRANCISCO - Evil Elmo is back. But instead of terrorizing tourists in Times Square, the costumed character has taken his act to San Francisco.

The man behind the suit, Adam Sandler (no relation to the actor), was spotted in costume in Rossi Park on Sunday, trying to hug kids.

The so-called "Evil Elmo" was previously arrested New York City for shouting anti-Semitic slurs in front of a Toys R Us store.

Sandler reportedly has a colorful past as a pornographer. He was exiled from Cambodia in the late 1990s for running a controversial pornography website.
