CLEVELAND - A news and opinion Web site has ranked Cleveland No. 13 on its list of craziest cities in the United States.

thedailybeast.com decided to rank 57 of the nation’s largest metropolitan areas based on craziness using four criteria: psychiatrists per capita, stress, eccentricity and drinking.

Here's how Cleveland ranked in each of those categories, placing it in the 13th slot:

  • Psychiatrists per capita: 11 out of 57
  • Stress: 2 (tie with Philadelphia) out of 57
  • Eccentricity: 43 out of 57
  • Drinking: 29 out of 57

The article also pointed out a “crazy law” in Cleveland: Women are forbidden from wearing patent leather shoes, so that men will not see the reflections of their underwear.

Cincinnati topped the list at No. 1, while Columbus fell in behind Cleveland at No. 20.
