Have you used all of your vacation days this year? If not, time is running out and you may want to check with your HR department to make sure you don't lose them if you don't use them.
A new study by Expedia finds Americans are expected to waste two vacation days this year, even though the average American didn't get as much time off compared to 2011.
The study found the average American had 12 days of vacation to use, down from 14 last year. But the study also found many people will only take 10 days off.
The biggest reasons for throwing the days away? Scheduling conflicts and hopes the days can be rolled over into the following year.
By the way, Americans aren't the only ones who waste vacation days. The average Japanese worker takes only five of their 13 allotted days.
