CLEVELAND - You might want to sing happy birthday to the social media site Twitter. It turned 6 years old Wednesday.

Exactly six years ago on March 21, 2006, the co-founder of Twitter, Jack Dorsey, posted the first ever tweet.

He tweeted, "just setting up my twttr."

You can see in the tweet that the founder spelled Twitter with no "i" or "e." That's because it was the original code name for the project.

Twitter was officially launched a few months later in July of 2006. You can follow the first ever tweeter @jack . He has 1.8 million followers.
