1. Early voting starts
Ohioans can cast an early ballot by mail or in person beginning Tuesday for the Nov. 6 election. Roughly 180,000 voters in Cuyahoga County have requested absentee ballots, which is slightly above the number of requests by this time in 2008.

2. Interstate 90 closures in Avon
Beginning on Tuesday, ODOT crews working on the new Lear/Nagel interchange along I-90 are planning to reduce traffic to two lanes in the eastbound direction in order to complete the painting of steel beams.

3. Skydiver vs. sound barrier
From 23 miles up, "Fearless Felix" hopes to reach 690 mph, or Mach 1, next Monday with only a pressurized suit and helmet for protection.

4. Wettest Cleveland September
After most areas in northeast Ohio experienced a drought this summer, September 2012 is the fifth wettest in the record books, with 7.6 inches of rain.

5. Poor sleep habits as teen may raise health risks
Lack of quality sleep for adults may negatively impact heart health. Evidence now suggests that sleep problems during adolescence may increase health risks as well, including high cholesterol, high blood pressure and being overweight or obese.
