Boat named 'Titanic II' sinks near England

DORSET, England - Maybe it’s just a coincidence, but naming a ship “Titanic” might be a risky move.
A 16-foot boat named bearing the Titanic name suffered a similar fate as its much larger and more famous predecessor nearly 100 years ago.
Titanic II sank during a fishing trip Monday near England. The boat was returning to harbor when it sprung a leak and sank.
“It's all a bit embarrassing and I got pretty fed up with people asking me if I had hit an iceberg,” the boat’s owner Mark Wilkinson told British newspaper The Telegraph.
Wilkinson was on the boat at the time, but he abandoned it as it went down, and someone from a nearby boat threw him a life preserver.
