BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. - A Missouri woman said she wanted her family to remember the reason for the Christmas season but was surprised to get a divine reminder through Crayola crayons.

The woman said her child's crayons led her to an encounter with Jesus.

Tara Gomez and her son melted the crayons in the oven as part of an activity they found on the internet.

Once the crayons were melted, they put the mixture into the freezer.

When Gomez went to pull it out 15 minutes later, she said she noticed what looked like Jesus's image in the frozen crayons.

Gomez said, "I was looking at it like, 'Am I crazy?' I am seeing things?"

Gomez said it was an answer to prayer.

Gomez confessed, "I'd been praying and praying about certain things, and I asked God for a sign and I think the crazy thing about this, and I dunno, what better sign to get then right in front of you."

Gomez said the family will be holding onto their Jesus image and not selling it on Ebay like others have done.
