BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - A truck driver is facing felony kidnapping charges after troopers found two missing Kentucky teens were found in a pair of Ohio counties over the weekend.
An I-75 rest area caretaker in Wood County called police around 4 p.m. Sunday reporting a 17-year-old said she was just released by her captor after being abducted for several days. The Kentucky teen also said another girl was still being held by the trucker against her will.
Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers found the driver's truck along I-75 in Shelby County about an hour and a half after getting the phone call. Troopers also found the other missing 16-year-old inside.
Darien McKinley, 30, of Georgia, was charged with kidnapping and booked into the Wood County Jail.
The FBI in Toledo and Dayton are investigating the kidnapping as a possible human trafficking case. Federal charges are possible.
