Woman injured after crashing SUV into Madison Township home

MADISON TOWNSHIP, Ohio - A woman is in the hospital after crashing her SUV through a home in Madison Township Monday night.
Madison Township police said the crash happened on Shelly Drive near Compton Street.
The 29-year-old woman driving the car was taken to Lake Hospital's emergency department then flown to MetroHealth Medical Center.
Five people, two adults and three children were in the home at the time of the crash but no one was injured.
The fire department secured the split-level ranch home before pulling the car out and letting the family back inside, police said.
The crash remains under investigation.
