PEPPER PIKE, Ohio - Clevelanders responded in a big way to the call for help by donating their unwanted shoes to Soles4Souls.
In just one month, Soles4Souls has collected nearly 15,000 pairs of shoes that will be donated to people who don't have any kicks to cover their feet.
Friday is the last day to donate your sneakers at The Lillian and Betty Ratner School in Pepper Pike, located at 27575 Shaker Blvd.
The organization has been so successful in the collection, a semi truck is needed to carry away all the shoes.
Donated sneakers will go to Americans in need, those hit by natural disasters and 127 countries where shoes can be the difference between life and death.
If you're donating a pair of shoes, the organization just asks you rubber band them together.
