CLEVELAND - Karrie Lutz lost 200 pounds after bariatric surgery. She now runs marathons to keep the weight off.
Lutz and 15,000 other runners will participate in the 33rd annual Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon this coming weekend.
In addition to the marathon, half-marathon and 10K races, a full slate of fitness related activities and fund raisers is planned.
Of special note is the Health & Fitness Expo taking place Friday 11 a.m to 7 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m to 6 p.m. at the Cleveland Convention Center. The expo will feature over 100 fitness related booths and vendors. Admission is free.
The Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon starts at 7 a.m, Sunday at East 9th Street and St. Clair Avenue.
A Finish Line Party will take place starting at 8:30 a.m. at Lakeside and East 6th Street.
