CLEVELAND - The Public Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) has a chance to win a $25,000 grant to help low income families take care of their pets and keep them in homes.
PAWS applied for a chance to win a $25,000 Pepsi Refresh Project grant to help low income families with heath care costs for their companion pets.
Voting for the grant applicants began on Jan. 1, and PAWS is hoping that folks in Northeast Ohio will help give them the boost they need to win the grant.
PAWS said that many people call their hotline seeking our help, and they hope that this funding will provide them with an opportunity to make a greater impact on the community.
